Well, we didn't play that song (it's from 1970, not the 60s!) but we were all back again at Big Whitefish Lake's annual social event, which had record attendance (due to FP show? :>) ). Much fun in an outdoor setting on a nice evening with lots of good people.
Franklin Park Bandtag:franklinparkband.com,2005:Post/49261462017-11-09T15:05:31-05:002022-04-02T16:40:18-04:00Meijer Gardens 2018 !
At its October 20 rehearsal in Holland, Franklin Park auditioned for Ted Bufkin of the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. We were very excited to learn from Ted that the Gardens had selected Franklin Park to play in its beautiful amphitheater next summer as part of its very popular Tuesday Evening Music Club. Hope to see many family, friends and classmates there along with the 1,000+ Gardens members that attend these shows. Will be FUN!!!
Franklin Park Bandtag:franklinparkband.com,2005:Post/47610632017-06-29T06:55:22-04:002022-05-11T14:30:19-04:002017 FP Show!
With the long distance between our homes and that UP winter weather, FP has decided to do one show a year.

Our show on June 23 for the annual Big Whitefish Lake Association event at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course's beautiful clubhouse and restaurant was attended by over 100 people, most of whom knew nearly every one of our 60's music songs. Many highlights, including a full Beatles set of 8 songs and one encore, the first appearance of the "Franklin Park Dancers" and Mike R's great organ solo on a new song to us (and 50-years old this summer) A Whiter Shade of Pale. Good job Mike R, and Bernie, and Jim too, with that song's seeming ever-descending bass line.
Franklin Park Band
